Hi all, I am an avid cruiser. Bob convinced me to go on our 1st cruise in the winter of '98.
I was sure I would be sea sick as I am prone to motion sickness. cars, busses, train anything that moves. Guess what, I wasn't the one who got
sea sick. On that trip we travelled with our good friends Eric & Priscilla. We have now cruised with them 6 times and we are all about to embark on another adventure cruise. This time up the Amazon. More about that later.
We almost
always choose to travel with Holland America. Our first cruise was on the old Noordam. Then the old Westerdam. the Volendam, twice. The new Noordam 4 times and the Eurodam twice. So you see I love those "Dam" ships.
We traveled also with Eric
& Priscilla as well as with about another 8 couples of friends on the Royal Caribbean, Vision of the Seas. We also did a river cruise along with other family & friends with Avalon Waterways.
We have also taken bus tours across Canada,
the United States and Great Britain.
Last year we toured across Canada on VIA Rail to Jasper and from there we went to Vancouver via the "Rocky Mountaineer". That was Bob's dream trip, and he as well as I did enjoy it especially on the Rocky Mountaineer.
What a great country we have ,we have driven across canada 3 times and flown to many different cities many times. Have also driven Across, and up and down the United states and yet I still want to see as much of this great world of ours as I can.
Bob doesn't always come with me, but my great daughter Sue will travel on cruises with me. We even brought along her grown up daughter on one of our cruises, and we did much more adventureous things then than we usually do. And, we had a great time.
So come on back any time for a visit and see what we are up to.
Below is a photo of Bob and I in 2011 when we were at Oslo, Norway on our 50th Anniversary cruise aboard the Eurodam, which can be seen behind us.
My cover photo is a sunset taken
from our front deck.
