Half Moon Cay, Bahamas; 4/5/14

Got up early to watch us sail up to the most beautiful Island, Half Moon Cay.  We were here last week at the start of our cruise and relaxed all day.

We arrived at 8:00AM and saw the Island boats coming to pick up first some crew and supplies and then passengers started to depart on it as well as the ships tenders.

Nicole had to go  to the Doctor first thing this morning as she had a bad rash which was very, very itchy. When we were at the Camen Island she was bitten with something and it was itchy then but then went away and now this morning it is very red and swollen.

$95.00 later she joined us with a tube of cream which she claimed was solid gold. 🙂 Then we went to the Pinnacle again for our breakfast. Oh, who is going to serve me when I get home.??

After breakfast Sue & Nic left on the tender for the Island, I hated to miss it but since I didn't feel so great and they were planning on just exploring the Island I decided to stay behind and do some packing and sit on our deck and watch passengers going to & from the shore. I don't know where my get up and go went but it sure went somewhere.

The girls arrived back and they had a great day and showered off all the sand they seemed to collect and dressed for dinner.  We went to the Manhatten Dining room to join our tablemates. The couple was there but the older single lady didn't come.

It was International Night again and we get to choose different regions on the menu for our different courses. It is certainly not my favotite evenings dining but we go to it as it is the last time we have to see and talk to our new friends.

When we arrived back to our cabin tonight; besides our towel animal and chocolate the stewards had left the ships log. On this weeks segment when we reach Fort Lauderdale tomorrow morning we will have sailed a total distance of 2016 Nautical miles.

It has been a great cruise and I really enjoyed the 2 weeks.  We are now all packed and after a few trips to the front office to weigh our bags we are now ready to set them out for our stewards to pick up and then we will see them in the morning just before we go through Imigration. Then all we have to walk off the ship with will be our carry on bags.

We can't say enough about all the crew from the Captain right on down the line to our room and dining stewards. Everyone was so friendly and willing to help with any little or big thing you might ask of them.

I only wished that my health had been better, but in January I was scared that I may not be able to come at all so i am indeed blessed. Both that i was able to come and also for such a great daughter and granddaughter. I'll keep cruising as long as i can board and if i have to sit on deck and watch from the ship I will.

I certainly found enough energy that i went to see the cruise Consultant and booked another cruise. Bob and I will be taking a Holiday cruise in December. It is a 30 day Hawaii, Tahiti, & Marquesas Islands cruise on the Statendam. Yes another Dam ship, I just love all these dam ships.  Now the hard part is waiting for December.

Checking to make sure our luggage isn't overweight.
