All Packed & Ready to sail

Sketch & watercolor of the Red Cabana at Half Moon Cay.

🙂Yea, first day of spring.

I spent the most of the afternoon packing for our trip. We leave at a real early time Saturday morning so I thought I better get started.

Besides the usual clothes I also packed my small watercolor journal and a traveler's watercolor kit.

Each cruise I try to sketch something on our cruise and paint it for my own pleasure. I'm certainly not an artist just someone who likes to try my hand at it. Although these days I notice that my hand is getting rather shaky.

The above one was when my daughter and I were on Half Moon Cay a few years ago, I think it was the first cruise we did together.

This next one I did when Bob and I were on the North Sea Cruise to celebrate our 50th Anniversary in 2011. We had been on a tour of Bergan, Norway; and when we came back and were relaxing on our deck aboard the Eurodam; I thought the houses that we were looking at  looked very interesting so I decided to try to copy them unto paper.

I'm afraid both pictures looked rather washed out but do look better in my journal.

Docked at Bergen, Norway.
A few essentials, cap to keep the sun off my face & head. Water bottle Holder for our trips off ship as well as a small backpack which folds up nice and small, as you can see. Sunscreen for those "hot" lazy days on the beach. (We hope). And the red and blue containers fold flat to only about 3/4 of an inch thick and then open up (note the red one) to hold all kinds of little things. Like my toiletries or pens and pencils and other odd's and end's.
Getting there, small one nearly done then on to my checked bag, why do we always think we need so much.??
