This morning we docked on time at 8:00AM at Grand Turk. What a lovely morning sailing in and all day the temperature was listed at 26C/ 78F but I think it may have gotten beyond that
as it seemed really warm out.
We didn't take a tour as the girls just wanted to hang out at the Cruise terminal and their great beach. I checked out the shops and found a little
dress and a couple of souveniers. Then I walked around and chacked out the Space Monument that is set up; which is very interesting. Then I walked a little farther and had a chat with a nice Security Officer from there who was watching the beach
and display.
All ashore today was at 2:30 PM and as usual there were those who were just sauntering along and in no hurry to return even if it was past time. I just don't get
it. The All Aboard is listed in the "today On Location" which we all get, plus a sign is at the gangway when you get off. .I understand when a tour is late getting back, but we could see these people just lying on the beach and even after the horn was blowing
for them they were in no hurry. I guess perhaps they think that the whole world revolves around them. There that is my soapbox for the day.
At the Seaview Pool, deck
9 Aft, the resident Steel drum player Junior was playing great sounds of the Caribbean as we sailed towards San Juan.,
Tonight in the Showroom at Sea was the World
Champion and Rock star Juggler Mike Price.. Sarah and the HALCats were playing at the Ocean Bar, Deck 3. Adagio was at the Explorer's Lounge, Deck2. At the Piano Bar was Jim Fischer, Deck2. Solo Guitarist Krista was at the Crowe's Nest.
Then there was also Karaoke, Dancing and Top Hits with Show Host Mark. We could have partied nearly all night long. Certainly lots to do aboard ship, you certainly shouldn't get bored. And
if none of those were to your liking you can always go to the Casino.
Something new this year that I don't think we had to do before; was to carry our Passports ashore or a Government
issued ID, a photocopy would not be accepted.
Another great day at Grand turk and at Sea.
