Hi everybody, sorry but blame this internet for being slow, or even at times non excistant, Last night I couldn't even send a short email back home.
We arrived at the Cruise port shortly after 11:00am Sunday morning and we were yo our room just before 11:30. Had a very speedy check in and went right to our cabin and it was already for us. Checked it out and then went to the Neptune Lounge and
introduced ourselves then off to the Mariners brunch. There actually not very many in the dining room.
Had a fairly speedy lifeboat drill but there are always a few who just will not be quiet
and then wonder why their name wasn't called; which they would have heard if they had been quiet. (ok that is my rant for the day)
Sailaway was just befor 4:00pm and a lovely afternoon for it.
Sue had requested a wave so we waved and displayed our Canadian Flag proudly. Then partied ourselves with drinks and chocolate dipped strawberries.
Met our tablemates at Dinner and they are a
couple from Montreal and his sister. Very interesting and interested in talking with us as well. We had a great time and were the last to leave the Dining Room.
After dinner there was a suite
guest party at the Silk Den. I was very surprised as the Captain and Hotel Manager were both shaking hands with everyone. Had a glass of wine but passed on the appatisers as we were stuffed from dinner.
Checked out the shops and walked around the ship and went to the Lido for a cup of green tea but they were all out so just got a glass of ice water to take back to our room, Sat on deck for a few minutes and then to bed.
Ah, Monday, what a beautiful day on Half Moon Cay. In the afternoon around 1:45 there was a light rain shower but it only lasted about 5 minutes.
Sue and I checked out
our little red Cabana when we first arrived while Nicole went for a hike on the trail. As soon as I had deposited my backpack and rid myself of my cover up I went for a swim, lovely warm water; sure beats the ice and snow at home.
Read and lazed all day; but we did check out the small shops and Nicole and I went to the Pirates Bar and we both had a "Bahama Mama". Mmmm yummy, All I remember was that it had coconut rum and pineapple juice, next week
I will have to pay more attention and get the rest of the ingredient's.
Had another swim. Nicole and I had bought tube's about a foot and a half long filled with bubbles. So we blew bubbles and
let the wind take our beautiful bubbles away, while Sue was trying to let on she didn't even know us. Everyone needs to bring out their inner child once in a while. We had fun.
Next door
to us 2 boy's were flying kite's and the whole family was having fun with that as well as us watching.
We were the second last tender off the Island and hated to leave, but for some reason they
wouldn't let us stay. Sob, Sob.
After we arrived back aboard we needed to scrub up for Dinner as it was formal night. Oh my, my little
black dress barely zippered up so I went to a black skirt and purple sequin top. Then my" heels" didn't match and my ankles were swollen so all dressed up and a little pair of black flatties on.
Another great meal with great company. I will post
photos here of both meals later, right now I am having trouble uploading them.
After dinner we went to the Showlounge and It was the Captains introduction of some of his staff before the show. So as we arrived we were presented with a glass of champagne.
Show was OK but as usual the music was much too loud. Went to the Crows nest then back to the Lido and tonight they had the green tea so took a cup back to our room to drink.
Tomorrows a sea day.
