This morning we had our breakfast delivered to our room via Room Service for between 7:00 & 7:30AM. It arrived at 7:10AM and everything was done correctly. The bacon and eggs were very hot and the
juice was nice and cold; so all was well.
We each had individual tours today. Bob went on the Barbados Concorde Experience tour and he really enjoyed that, he was just sorry that Eric couldn't
be there. Eric had an appointment to have an MRI scan this morning in Barbados and Priscilla went with him. Apparently they were each allowed to go into the cockpit to look around and hear the motor and see all the instruments. It was housed in a huge warehouse
which has other information and planes as well. They also had a stop at a rum factory for some free sampling, I should have been there!!!.
I went on the 3 hour Canopy Zipline Adventure. I did
this through the Ship's tour's . It was with the "Aerial Trek Zipline Adventure" in Barbados.
There were lot's of guides to help us get ready with our harness, helmet and leather gloves. They
then went with us to hook us up and as we reached each platform someone was there to unhook us. I believe there were 7 platforms and one was 300 feet long and another 280feet. The remainder were shorter but mostly over 100 feet. It was lot's of fun and i would
have liked to have gone again. On another cruise perhaps.
We were sure up high in the tree tops and looking down on some treetop's. Actually we were zipping over Jack in the Box Gully". Years
and years ago it had been a volcanic cave and then many years ago it collapsed leaving a huge very deep gully.
It was supposed to have been a 3 hour tour but our tour guide asked if
anyone had to be back right away and no one did so he gave us a stop and go tour on the way back. Extending our tour by about 1/2 hour. Our guide was also our bus driver and was very interesting; he stopped and explained the different housing we were
seeing, the different trees, water systems, etc. So we had a great tou as well as the zipping and I would recomend this tour to anyone, young and old alike.
It was a very hot day out so I didn't
stay looking around the cruise terminal, which is very nice, so i returned to our ship for a shower and a late lunch. I was glad to see that Eric and Priscilla had returned back to the ship and nothing was found when they did the MRI .
Tonight after dinner we went to the Showroom again, this time to see Ilia and Valerie; who do acrobatiques and they came direct from Lido de Paris. Last year they were performing with Cirque de Solai. It
was hard for them to perform their routine as the ceiling is so low on the Prinsendam. However, they were very good and just before the end their son came out and also performed with them. I have seen them perform before on larger ships and they
are spectacular.
After this we went up to the Crow's Nest Lounge to listen to Derek at the piano playing Lionel Richie tunes for awhile. Next these Party Animals retired for the night.
